Service 100% devoted to the patient

The main of the nursing staff is the comprehensive care of each and every patient of the hospital. On the headboard of your bed, there is a communication system to contact Nursing Control, available 24 hours a day. Use it when you need it, it will help us to improve our service.

PRESENTATION OF SERVICES

The head nurse will prepare the medication at Nursing Control:

  • Oral medication: administered at mealtimes (breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner)
  • Intravenous and intramuscular medication: administered as medically prescribed (every 6, 8, 12 or 24 hours).
  • Control and interpretation of vitals
  • Temperature control.
  • Blood pressure control.
  • Treatments: practice and care.

Carried out in shifts and when necessary. During the night shift, the care will be combined to cover the need for rest and sleep.

  • Schedule: 8 am to 12 noon.
  • Content: washing and hygiene of the patient (bed clothes and gown change). Although this is scheduled in the morning, it is performed throughout the day when the patient s it. Nursing, in the established schedule, checking that the patient's diet is correct.

Distribution of food will be carried out by the nursing staff in the established schedule, checking that the patient's diet is correct.

Upon arrival in the inpatients unit, the head nurse will introduce themselves telling you their name so that you know who will be looking after you during each shift. They will take and verify your personal details, and ask you questions to make an initial assessment of your needs and to be able to plan the nursing care that your condition s. Patients or users have the duty to tell the nursing staff when they arrive in the inpatients unit if they are following any medical treatment or have any allergy to medication, food or other products (latex, dyes, food, etc.).

Once your doctor has communicated that you are to be discharged, the nurse will inform you of the processes you must complete in good time to allow you to get organised and the head nurse will come to see you off when you have your report, preions, etc. and particularly when they are sure that you have understood the healthcare advice that we have given you during your stay.

The centre has porters to assist patients with reduced mobility when they have to move. Wheelchairs can only be pushed by porters, and so we ask that you refrain from doing so yourself.

ORGANISATION TASKS DURING YOUR STAY

The hospital staff is identified with a card bearing their name, surnames, professional category and photograph, indicating the department to which they belong.

The care provided in all the inpatient units is 24/7/365 continuously, and so there are morning, afternoon and night shift rotations.

We have a modern localisation system, using a wireless telephone that each nurse and auxiliary of the unit carries as part of their uniform.

On the headboard of your bed you have the nurse call system; when you use it, your call will up on the nurse's beeper. The nurse will answer your call immediately by telephone and will respond to your request, covering your needs at all times.

We strive to ensure that your stay with us is highly satisfactory and, in any case, it will help us greatly if you send us your opinion on the medical care and personal treatment you have received in our hospital.

You must respect the privacy of the other patients and so the doors to rooms must remain closed. Relatives must avoid standing in the corridors.

Admission, access to certain specialist areas and tests will be by order of a doctor. Consult with your corresponding doctor.
